Lawncare
Weekly or biweekly mow, edge, trim, and blow. Tall fescue is the staple in McMinn County — we cut it at the height it wants, not the height the last guy was used to. Fescue overseed in the fall.
Athens, TN — McMinn County, family-run since 2020
Lawncare, landscaping, tree removal, fall and spring cleanup, and the seasonal decoration setup nobody else wants to climb a ladder for. Family-run out of Athens. Around McMinn County.

About The Goat
The Goat Lawncare Services started in Athens in 2020 as a family operation, and it has stayed that way. Five years in McMinn County, the same crew week to week, and a name that nobody forgets after the first call.
The work is plain. Mow and edge through the season. Landscape installs and refreshes when the beds need them. Tree work — limb-up, take-down, haul-off — for the storms that always seem to find Tennessee in March. Spring and fall cleanups when the yard needs a reset. And once the leaves are down, the wreaths and lights go up — because somebody has to do the front-porch decoration setup, and we already own the ladders.
We like the trade and we like the property. That is most of what we have to say.
If it grows, falls, or needs a wreath, the Goat handles it.

What we do — Athens & McMinn County
We are the call for the work that does not split cleanly between a lawn guy, a tree guy, and a holiday-lights guy.
Weekly or biweekly mow, edge, trim, and blow. Tall fescue is the staple in McMinn County — we cut it at the height it wants, not the height the last guy was used to. Fescue overseed in the fall.
Bed refreshes, mulch, plant installs, edging, small hardscape. We will tell you what is going to make it in this soil and this shade and what is not.
Limb-up, take-down, storm cleanup, haul-off. Five years of Tennessee storms has taught us which oaks lean the wrong way and which pines you do not climb in March.
Leaf-out in spring, leaf-down in fall, gutter clear, bed reset, hauled-off in the truck. Same-week scheduling during the busy months — call before October fills up.
Wreaths, garland, front-porch lights, lawn pieces. We hang it after Thanksgiving, take it down in January, and store it dry. The ladder is ours.
The Goat, all four seasons
Five services across twelve months. The truck looks different in March than it does in December — same crew, same phone number, different tools in the bed.
Spring
Spring cleanup is leaf-out, bed reset, edge re-cut, first mow of the season. Pre-emergent for the warm-season grasses goes down before the dogwoods bloom.
Summer
Weekly or biweekly mow on the rotation through July and August. Tall fescue gets cut tall to hold through the East Tennessee heat. Trim what wants trimming.
Fall
Fall cleanup is leaf-down, gutters, bed reset, mulch top-up, fescue overseed. October fills first — call early for a date that holds.
Winter
Seasonal decoration setup goes up the week after Thanksgiving and comes down in January. We hang it, we take it down, we pack it dry. The ladder is ours.
How it works
Tell us the address and what you are looking at. Five minutes is plenty.
We come out, look at the yard, the beds, the trees. Ask the questions that change the price.
Written estimate, broken out by service. No mystery line items.
Recurring lawn lands in the weekly or biweekly book. One-off cleanups and tree work get a date that holds.
First visit, we walk it with you before we leave. Anything off, we fix that day.
That’s it. No portals, no logins — a phone call or an email is all it takes.
Where we work — McMinn County
McMinn County is our perimeter. The US-411 corridor runs through it like a spine — Athens in the middle, Sweetwater to the north, Etowah to the south. I-75 catches the western edge. East of us, the Cherokee National Forest starts to climb.
The route
Athens is the home base. We work the US-411 corridor south to Etowah and north to Sweetwater, and the smaller towns in between. Past the McMinn line we will quote case-by-case — depends on the route that day.

About the name
The name is the joke and the promise. A goat will graze any field, climb any hill, and keep going through weather that runs other animals home. That is how the work feels in McMinn County — a lawn to mow before lunch, a limb to clear after the storm, a wreath to hang before Thanksgiving. Five trades on one truck, five years in, one phone number answered by the people who do the work.
We did not pick a name to be cute. We picked one we could live up to.

Word of mouth — McMinn County
Called for a one-time fall cleanup and ended up booking the weekly mow. Showed up when they said, did what they said, did not leave a mess. We are done shopping.
Lost a big limb on the back oak after a March storm. The Goat crew was out the next morning, cleaned the yard, hauled it off, and charged what they quoted on the phone.
Hired them to hang our front-porch wreath and garland the day after Thanksgiving. They were back in January to take it down and pack it up. Best decision we made last year.
Family-run, local, and they pick up the phone. Quoted three landscapers for a bed refresh — they were the only ones who walked the back slope before giving a number.
Weekly mow has been on the rotation almost two years. Same truck, same crew, same level of work. Hard to find that anymore.
